Question 3
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
For Question 3 we decided to make a video which is like 'The Apprentice.' We made different distribution company ideas for the video. However we have cancelled it down to the one we used in our opening title sequence. Ultimately, we wanted a distributor that we could trust and so created this imaginary set-up to illustrate the qualities that our distributor would have. To sum it up their will be 3 different people explaining their distributor idea and only one can get approved. Other videos which we have made to answer the question is through different TV programmes and they are: 'Have I Got News For You,' '8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown' and 'Family Fortunes.'

Have I Got News For You Video - Script Written By: Connor Dokic (C.D)
(C.D, D.L, J.R, M.M)
This video will explain Question 3 'What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?' through a Have I Got News For You Theme. I tried to write the script about our Open Doors Distributions because I wanted to talk on one we made as a group. I then choose different points to talk about why choose Open Doors Distributions.
Why I chose this theme?
I chose it because I wanted to entertain people through a popular TV programme but at the same time educate people with the answer to the question through my little twists.

The opening titles we used in our opening sequence, we included the most important ones. All of us looked into many horrors which are similar to ours and looked carefully at their opening titles to try and make a similar order. So in our order we had our distributor and production companies first because it shows the importance they have within our film. We then place the title 'A Film By Matt Murphy' because we noticed that in similar horror films they had this in them, then we had the stars such as 'Caitlin Fenton, Connor Dokic, Dan Lodge, Joe Richardson.' They went individually because they are a huge part in our opening sequence because they are the ones that made it happen/work. The next set of important titles we had was 'Casting Director Matt Murphy, Make-up Avon Parker, Costume Designer Ryan Sheckler, Editor Sue Wiggings and Lizzy Turner, Production Designer Nyjah Huston, Producer by Boxed Pictures, Produced By Shane O'Neil and finally Screenplay Terry Bisto.' All of these was very important roles in our making of our opening sequence which is why we placed them in and also a lot of similar horrors had the same which we wanted to copy. Our last and final title was 'Director Matt Murphy' because we noticed as a group that in all of the horror opening sequences we watched and reviewed, they all ended in the same opening title.

Our Production Company |
Information on Our Distributor and Production Companies
A distributor is a company that is responsible for marketing the film and delivering it to the public.
Our Distributor Company is Called 'Open Doors Distributions' because the first thing the audience will see is our Distribution company and this means that the audience is opening the doors to our opening sequence which means what kind surprises are larking behind the door.
(C.D) |
A production company is responsible for the development and physical production of any new media.
Our Production Company is Called 'Boxed Pictures' because the second thing the audience will see is our Production Company and this is like the surprise behind the door which is a box which looks innocent but their is evilness trying to get out and once it does it waves to show its friendly but actually it isn't.

Pictures of the Script
Here they are:
(C.D)
Here are the pictures of the scripts which I wrote. The reason why I chose to write these scripts is because it keeps the group organised and also when we came to filming we just cracked on with it and didn't have to mess around trying to figure out what to say next etc.
